Stephanos Anastasiadis ist Sozialwissenschaftler. Er studierte Psychologie an der Universität Kapstadt und Friedenswissenschaften am Trinity College Dublin. Er arbeitete für einige Jahre in Brüssel. Anschließend promovierte er in Betriebswirtschaft an der Universität Nottingham, mit dem Schwerpunkt Politik und Organisationswesen. Von Januar 2012 bis September 2019 arbeitete er an der Royal Holloway Universität London. In dieser Zeit absolvierte er eine Ausbildung für die Lehre an Universitäten und wurde mehrfach für die Qualität seiner Lehrtätigkeit ausgezeichnet. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Nachhaltigkeit, Organisationswesen, Berufung, organisatorisches Lernen, verantwortungsvolle Machtausübung, und Pädagogik. Stephanos Anastasiadis ist seit Oktober 2019 Professor an der Polizeiakademie Niedersachsen.

Stephanos Anastasiadis studied Psychology (University of Cape Town), Peace Studies (Trinity College Dublin), and holds a PhD in Business & Management (Nottingham University; focus on politics and organisations). He worked in the EU policymaking environment before returning to university. Before starting his present role, he spent nearly eight years at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he completed training as a university teacher and won teaching awards. His research interests focus on sustainability, organisational learning, calling, sensemaking, pedagogy, and the responsible use of power. He has published in such journals as Work, Employment and Society; British Journal of Management; Business and Society; and Journal of Management Inquiry. Stephanos Anastasiadis has been Professor at the Police Academy since October 2019.
LAUFENDE PROJEKTE / CURRENT PROJECTS:
2020-2026: Polizeiliches Professionswissen – Rollenverständnis und Generationswechsel.
Erhebung und Analyse von Daten zu interner polizeilicher Wissensvermittlung, besonders zu Einstellungsveränderungen und geschlechtlichem Rollenverhalten von Polizistinnen/Polizisten sowie zum polizeibezogenen Wahrnehmungswandel, um Erfolgsbedingungen von organisierten Lern- und Normenvermittlungsprozessen bei der Polizei bestimmen zu können.
2020-2026: Professional police knowledge – role perception and generational change.
Longitudinal study of knowledge transfer and institutional memory in the police. The goal is to investigate the conditions for successful organisational learning and socialisation, particularly in view of changes over time in taken-for-granted knowledge, attitudes, (perceived) gender roles and perceptions.
2021-2024: ABLe – Arbeitsbezogene Berufung und Leistung für Menschen mit Behinderungen
Ein vom Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales (BMAS) gefördertes Projekt, im Rahmen des „Fördernetzwerks Interdisziplinäre Sozialpolitikforschung“ (FIS) Programm (FIS.03.00032.21). Dauer: 32 Monate seit dem 01.11.2021. Thema: Die Rolle von Berufung und sinnvoller Arbeit von Erwerbstätigen mit Behinderung: Inklusion im Sinne aller Beteiligter. Projektpartner: Prof. Dr. Stefan Gold (Universität Kassel) und Dr. Anica Zeyen (Royal Holloway, Universität London).
2021-2024: ABLe: Work-related calling and performance for people with disabilities. A 32-month project funded by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (Grant number: FIS.03.00032.21). Topic: The role of calling and meaningful work in employed people with disabilities – Inclusion for the benefit of all concerned. Project partners: Prof Stefan Gold (University of Kassel) and Dr Anica Zeyen (Royal Holloway, University of London).
